The count­down has begun

The count­down for stiftungschweiz.ch began on 26 Septem­ber 2019. Peter Buss, the platform’s foun­der and CEO, unvei­led its features in front of more than 100 guests at Caba­ret Voltaire in Zurich. After Buss’ talk, Chris­toph Weber, deputy chair­man of the direc­to­rate gene­ral at Zürcher Kanto­nal­bank, pres­sed the red button: with 24 days, 16 hours, 44 minu­tes and 59 seconds before the website’s launch, the clock began to tick backwards. 

The plat­form will be available online from 21 Octo­ber onwards. ‘I’m convin­ced it’ll be a huge success,’ says Chris­toph Weber. He can’t believe how long it took for someone to begin making this project a reality, in view of the billion Swiss francs (if not more) that chari­ties spend every year on just trans­fer­ring money. The hope is that the platform’s services will reduce this figure. Chris­toph Weber: ‘I’m exci­ted not so much about whether it will work, but how quickly it will work.
