Switz­er­land is an inno­va­tive coun­try with a strong huma­ni­ta­rian tradi­tion — and part of an inter­na­tio­nal network with complex inter­de­pen­den­cies. The growing domi­nance of large tech compa­nies, new global conflicts and cutbacks in inter­na­tio­nal deve­lo­p­ment coope­ra­tion present it with complex chal­lenges. One thing is certain: Deal­ing with global depen­den­cies is of central importance.

Our theme part­ners stand for a Switz­er­land that fulfils its respon­si­bi­li­ties in an incre­asingly inter­con­nec­ted world. The Hasler Foun­da­tion promo­tes Switz­er­land as a centre of thought and work with a wide range of initia­ti­ves in the fields of ICT rese­arch, educa­tion and inno­va­tion. HEKS contri­bu­tes to impro­ving the living condi­ti­ons of people in Switz­er­land and around the world. The aid orga­ni­sa­tion works in four thema­tic focus areas: ‘Climate justice’, ‘Right to land and food’, ‘Displa­ce­ment and migra­tion’ and ‘Inclu­sion’.
