Together we will explore how promoting and operating foundations and NPOs can effectively fulfil their purpose for the benefit of a sustainable society thanks to creativity and courage. In times of political turmoil, chainsaws in authorities and parliaments, punitive tariffs and “deals,” the question arises for us as non-profit organisations and as part of a democratic civil society: How far can — and must – we get involved in politics? Our panel will address this question with Prof. Dr Mark Eisenegger, Director of fög and President of the Kurt Imhof Foundation, Romy Krämer, Ship Captain of the Guerrilla Foundation, Pfarrerin Rita Famos, President of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Switzerland, and Dr. Regine Sauter, National Councillor, moderated by Susanne Sugimoto, Editor-in-Chief of The Philanthropist.
After the information block and the lunch break, two creative initiatives will present themselves and show how philanthropy can be lived with imagination and innovation: Lukas Loss, founder and artistic director of Interfinity, will explain how art can be used to communicate science. Dr Béatrice Speiser, founder and president of Crescenda, will show how innovation and humanity can be used to create perspectives. This year, too, we are offering you a wide range of workshops on various topics, which will be held twice — so you can attend two sessions. The conference will conclude with a speech by Baschi Dürr, director of the Christoph Merian Foundation, on the topic “The purpose justifies the means”.
We cordially invite you to our Swiss Foundation Day 2025. Come and “Let’s channel the lion’s energy together!“
