A new management structure

Sabina Grassi will take up the presidency of SwissFoundations at its general meeting on 6 June 2023. She is stepping into the shoes of Lukas von Orelli, who has been in office since 2016. This change in its upper management involves the association of grant giving foundations adopting a new organisational form. By taking on a modern, agile structure, it is responding to the current size and increasing challenges created by the dynamic development of the philanthropic sector. One core element of the new organisational form is its presidency ‘primus inter pares’. Now, the holder of this role will change on an annual basis, giving the president the opportunity to focus on their presidential tasks. The individual members of the board are grouped into committees so they can contribute their personal expertise and experience even more effectively in the future.
